First off, let me begin by saying that I am so gracious to have won this $5,000 scholarship from FFPscholarships.com. I was so surprised to hear from Mr. Dequilettes that I was the winner for this year. I found this scholarship because in one of my classes at school we were assigned to apply for scholarships. So, I went to fastweb.com and made a profile, then, was notified about the Foresters Financial Partner scholarship. It was so easy! I just had to write an essay, send it in, and wait. Next thing I knew, I had won! This scholarship will help my parents and I out so much financially next fall when I attend college. It will especially help me because I have agreed to help pay for tuition and books for college. My parents and I feel that by doing this I will appreciate being in college more if I pay for part of it because I know that I am working to be there.
